We are enjoying telling and re-telling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Today we made our own jam sandwiches.
The playhouse in the Nursery Garden has become the House of the Three Bears to support our topic of Traditional tales. The children have had a lovely time creating Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear, Baby Bear and Goldilocks. Would you like to take a look inside?
Our amaryllis plants are growing really fast! The Three Pigs plant has now reached 43 cm.
This afternoon we worked together to build a snowman. His name is Jackson and he is even taller than the children!
Today we enjoyed a rare opportunity to play outside in the snow.
For the next two weeks we are looking at Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
The children were busy building a house using the large wooden blocks. They worked together as a team and listened to each other's ideas, during this free play activity.
This morning we had lots of fun baking our own gingerbread men. We had to weigh out the ingredients, mix, roll and cut out our gingerbread men. They smelt delicious as they were baking. We had fun decorating them too.
The Three Little Pigs Amaryllis plant is now 20 cm tall! It grew 4 cm last night! The Three Bears one is a little slower but has reached 3cm.
We are learning about the story of The Gingerbread Man as part of our topic of Traditional Tales.
We have been having lots of fun learning about the story of The Three Little Pigs.
